Funding Priorities

The W.E. Care for Kids House is an intensive treatment program intended for children ages 6 to 13 with significant emotional and behavioral needs that cannot be met through other forms of treatment. Their mental health problems are at such a crisis state that it necessitates being temporarily removed from their community school and/or their home. This program is the only residential program available in the Windsor-Essex County area for children in this age range.

W.E. Care For Kids Foundation has committed to raising $1 million dollars for this project that will transform the current institutionalized environment into a warm and caring home-like setting that will enhance the effectiveness of the current program.

"We treat at-risk children with mental health issues and not only do they need exceptional care and programs, they need a safe, secure, nurturing environment as well. This project means they will get the building and surroundings which they deserve."
"Dr. Mary Broga, Vice President of Family Mental Health & Addiction Services"
