Rapha Cancer/ Aids Research, Education and Support
To offer spiritual, emotional and educational support to cancer & AIDS patients and their loved ones within the Windsor-Essex County region, both in the hospital and at home.
That cancer & AIDS patients have a support system through Rapha C.A.R.E.S. volunteers to help restore a sense of belonging to those who feel alienated and have lost their hope.
To visit patients either in the hospital or at home on a bi-weekly or as needed basis and to follow up through telephone contact throughout the week. Patients who so desire will be able to receive prayer by the Pastor or small group appointed for in-home prayer meeting and scripture reading.
The objective of Rapha C.A.R.E.S (Cancer/AIDS Research, Education and Support) program is to provide support to cancer and AIDS patients and their loved ones within the Windsor-Essex County region, both in the hospital and at home through patient visitation and telephone contact. Currently, there are Rapha representatives volunteering within the Cancer Centre of a major local hospital, which involves direct interaction with patients and access to information.
